Bio

Jason Reynolds was born in Washington, D.C. in 1983 and grew up immersed in music, poetry, and street storytelling. His writing is known for its raw honesty, rhythm, and deep respect for young people’s voices, especially those navigating identity, struggle, and self-discovery.

Reynolds is the author of numerous bestselling and award-winning books for children and teens, including Ghost. He has served as the National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, using storytelling to encourage literacy, empathy, and confidence among young readers worldwide.
