A Foundation Built for Every Child

Some books meet children where they are. Others help them imagine who they can become. My World does both—beautifully.

This series stood out to me because it understands that early learning is about more than colors, numbers, and letters. It’s about identity, affirmation, and belonging. From the very first page, these books invite children to engage with learning in a way that feels joyful, intentional, and reflective of the world around them.

Why This Series Matters Early

Early childhood is when children begin forming their sense of self and how they relate to others. What they see during this stage—especially in books—can shape confidence, curiosity, and emotional development.

My World fills a gap that has existed for far too long in early reader spaces. The series centers Black and Brown children not as an exception, but as the norm. These books don’t explain culture—they celebrate it naturally, allowing young readers to absorb representation without it feeling forced or instructional.

Learning That Feels Alive

What makes this series special is how seamlessly education is woven into storytelling. Each book introduces foundational concepts—colors, shapes, letters, numbers—while keeping children engaged through vibrant visuals, relatable references, and thoughtful pacing.

The books also grow with the child. Babies are drawn to the bold imagery and rhythm, while older children begin to connect with the language, patterns, and deeper meaning. It’s rare to find books that work across such a wide age range without losing intention, but My World manages that balance with care.

Why I Recommend This Series

I recommend My World because it respects young readers. It doesn’t talk down to them or simplify their experiences. Instead, it affirms that learning can be both empowering and fun—and that children deserve stories that reflect who they are from the very beginning.

For parents, caregivers, and educators, this series offers a meaningful tool for early literacy that also opens doors to conversations about diversity, language, and pride. These books don’t just support academic growth—they help build a strong emotional and cultural foundation that children carry forward.
